Dong-Sik Yoon - The warrior status
Dong-Sik was born on August 24, 1972 in Seoul, South
Korea. A single look at the Judo results of Dong-Sik can give
us a quick impression about this former judoka.
He had
competed at more than 50 international tournaments and in Asia and Europe. Among the top competitions he won
the gold medal 16 times, so let’s mention only the top of the top gold medals:
1993, 1995, 1996 - World Masters Munich, 1994 and 1995 -
Tournoi de Paris, 1997 - Asian Championships Manila, 2000 - Asian Championships
Osaka, 2001 - East Asian Games Osaka. There were much more
medals, but the Olympic medal is missing – the Judo king without the crown was born.
Later on in 2005 Dong-Sik debuted at the PRIDE Total elimination. The MMA
carreer of Dong-Sik is not that shiny, but the win/loss statistics are balanced.
The Judo king is usually winning with the help of Judo
submissions.
