Makoto Takimoto - The warrior status
Makoto was born on December 2, in 1974 in Japanese town Ibaraki. He started his Judo practice as a
very young boy, but the efforts were awarded.
The list of
Makoto’s successes at the international Judo scene is very long, he won a lot of
championships. Let’s mention the top rankings – in 1995 he won 1st
place at the Asian Championships in New Delhi, in 1996 he finished third at the
Tournoi de Paris. In 1997 two great victories – at the World Masters Munich and
at the Japanese National Championships Fukuoka. In 1999 he
finished with gold medal at the Kodokan Cup Tokyo Japanese National and later on
in 2000 again two excellent victories – at the World Masters Munich and at the
All Japan Judo Championships. But in 2002 came the greatest victory of this
talented judoka – Makoto is a winner of the
Sydney Olympic Games.
Later on in 2004 –
as a lot of superior Judo warriors, Makoto entered the mixed martial arts fights
(Pride). The win/loss statistics of Makoto are balanced and we keep our fingers
crossed for next fights.
